Meet Dr. Robert Rodine

‘My ultimate goal is to help patients understand that the degree to which their joints and muscles are functioning determines the quality of their motion. After all, function is motion and motion is life.’

Truly Understanding Chiropractic Made the Difference

Dr. Robert Rodine

When I was young, I saw a chiropractor for hip pain. However, it wasn’t until my early twenties that I truly understood the benefits of chiropractic. After suffering from recurrent back pain, I sought chiropractic care. Even after the pain subsided, I knew something still wasn’t right.

As I continued care, I gained a new understanding of what it truly meant for the body’s mechanics to function properly. Our bodies are really just machines. Like your car, they need a good mechanic who understands what’s working, and what needs attending to.

A Multidisciplinary Approach

I attended the University of Ottawa for my undergraduate degree in Human Kinetics before moving onto the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in Toronto, achieving a Doctorate of Chiropractic in 2007.

I then worked in clinical research and musculoskeletal health in the Department of Graduate Education and Research Programs at CMCC. There, I was able to train in clinical practice, research, and teaching, while getting exposure to different areas within health care.

Using a patient-centered approach, my goal is to educate my patients regarding their form and function in an effort to help them understand how their daily lives are affected by this. To accomplish this, I weigh the best treatment options suited for each patient’s unique needs. These include hands-on chiropractic adjustments, instrument-assisted adjustments (using an instrument such as the Activator), soft-tissue therapy, Active Release Techniques (ART), acupuncture, dry needling, exercise and rehabilitation therapy, custom foot orthotics and lifestyle education.
