Dr. Christine Cordick

‘My grandmother will tell you that “if you have your health, you have everything,” which is why chiropractic is so important for me and my family, as a source of health and wellbeing.

I was born and raised in neighboring Perth, and have come back to the area to enjoy the sense of community that small town living is all about.

Dr. Christine Cordick

Seeking the wisdom of life experience and a university education, my interest in health and the human body led me to Guelph University, where I received my BSc (Hons) in Human Kinetics. From here I worked as both a kinesiologist and an ergonomist in Peterborough, Ontario, and was first introduced to chiropractic.

My chiropractor left a big impression, helping me overcome a bout of long standing low back pain. He also taught me about the kind of things he helped others with. He knew that I was not finding my work fulfilling, and asked me one day, ‘why don’t you be a chiropractor?’… and I didn’t have an answer. As we talked more about the profession and health care, I began talking to many chiropractors and saw first hand their passion for their work and the enthusiasm and gratitude of their patients for what they do.

Chiropractic Education

I chose to attend the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, Ontario. Since graduating in 2007 I have been practicing within both Perth (at Cordick Chiropractic & Optimum Health Clinic) and in Smiths Falls with Optimum Health: Chiropractic, Massage & Fitness.

Dr. Cordick’s Patient Goals

My approach to patients is to determine the root cause/contributor to their problem with careful observation and most importantly, listening to their experience. I hope to provide each patient with an understanding of the problem at hand, the treatment that I can provide and how they can help themselves to prevent future occurrences. My treatment goals are to relieve pain and improve function, based on individual determinants and to educate wellness so that my patients can be the best versions of themselves. My ultimate goal is to help patients achieve a higher quality of life.
