Meet April Fergusson, RMT

I am April, a Registered Massage Therapist, and movement has always been a central part of my life.

A Background Rooted in Movement and Performance

Through marathons, triathlons, strength training, and yoga, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for what the body is capable of — and how important it is to care for it properly. Completing events such as the Boston Marathon, a Half Ironman, and a 50km Ultra Trail Marathon strengthened not only my physical endurance, but my understanding of recovery, injury prevention, and long-term performance. That perspective shapes how I practice today.

I have been a Registered Massage Therapist since 2011, helping my clients understand where tension or imbalances are developing in their bodies, and what can be done to restore healthy movement patterns before small issues become larger ones.

Supporting a Wide Range of Conditions

Some patients seek care for recovery from training, sprain and strain injuries, tendonitis, or chronic headaches. Others are navigating pregnancy-related changes, postural strain, or persistent neck and back discomfort. My role is to assess thoughtfully, treat intentionally, and provide guidance that supports both immediate relief and long-term resilience.

I incorporate a range of techniques depending on what each client needs, including deep tissue massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, instrument-assisted soft tissue manipulation, cupping therapy, and Swedish massage for relaxation and stress reduction. Treatment is always personalized — whether the goal is athletic performance, rehabilitation, or simply restoring balance in a busy life.

Empowering Clients Through Education

I believe recovery works best when clients are active participants in their care. Education, postural awareness, stretching, and remedial exercises are often part of the plan so that progress continues beyond the treatment room.

My goal is to help you feel stronger, move more freely, and leave each visit with a clearer understanding of how to support your body long term.
